The Sd.Kfz 231/232/233 (8-Rad) were German heavy armoured cars of World War II. The first prototypes of the vehicle were built in 1935, and series production lasted from 1936 to 1942, ending with the production of about 600 vehicles. The Sd.Kfz 231/232/233 series of vehicles was powered by a 150 hp Bussing-NAG V8 engine, and later by a 180 hp Bussing-NAG L8V-GS engine. The Sd.Kfz 231 was armed with a 20 mm KwK 30 cannon and a single 7.92 mm MG34 machine gun.
