The Bloch MB-152 was the most numerous French fighter aircraft used in World War II. The first prototype flew as the MB-150 in 1937. After modifications, it was designated the MB-151, and was powered by an 870 hp Gnome-Rhne 14N-11 engine driving a three-bladed Ratier propeller.

The machine was armed with four MAC machine guns model 1934. This machine first flew in August 1938 and in its case many shortcomings were found. In October 1938, the prototype of the new series – MB-152 – was completed. It was armed with two HS 404 cannons in the wing. It was powered by a Gnome-Rhne 14N-21 engine with a power of 1030 hp. 482 units were produced.
