The Chichibu Railway operates the Chichibu Main Line, spanning 71.7km from Hanyu Station in northern Saitama Prefecture through Kumagaya to Mitsumineguchi Station, as well as a 3.7km route from Mukawa Station to Mikajiri Freight Station. The Series 6000 express trains, active since 2005-2006, were transformed from three-car sets of the Seibu Railway New 101 Series into two-door, cross-seating, with square-shaped headlights and taillights. They were also equipped with an originally designed obstacle deflector. Initially, all three sets had a cream design with a light blue band, but from October 2014, set 6003 began operating in a revival color scheme inspired by the old Series 300.

-The train can be motorized to an N scale train and is compatible with TM-08R Motorized Chassis, TT-04R Trailer Conversion Kit, and Tomix 0230 Pantograph.
